At Pathways, we appreciate that purse strings are being tightened within services. Agency usage needs to be cut. We are a consultancy, offering staffing solutions for the longer term. In fact, we have a model to aid organisations in cutting their agency costs whilst retaining staff. - Please contact us to find out more about this program.

Our 'Agency Breaker' model can provide staff for 3 / 6 / 12 months on a contracted basis, whilst saving you money. If required, we can still offer the traditional 'relief worker' (as and when required) still at competitive rates. All staff are regularly mentored by qualified staff.

Nursing (RMN / RNLD)

We are particularly proud of our 'Preceptorship Training Program (PTP) for Newly Qualified Staff. As we all know, many highly talented people are left on the shelf shortly after graduating. Held back by the fact of that '2-3 years experience' in a 'similar role' has been given to them yet. Pathways offer an induction program together with ongoing professional mentoring and clinical milestones, to our newly qualified staff. Providing a set period of employment (promoting low cost continuity for the organisation and a potential long term career for the candidate). - Please contact us to find out more about this program.

Fund Raising Snooker Tournament in Sheffield

Snooker competition for people with Learning Disabilities

Three Adults with Learning Disabilities represented Salisbury at a Snooker tournament in Snookers home town of Sheffield.
Steve Harrison runs a tuition class at his club for people with learning disabilities, and has had a great response.

(Steve Harrison giving PF Tuition)

Steve advertised the event around Salisbury and applied for a South Wilts MenCap grant to help cover costs. The final 3 people who went were JT and JP from a Salisbury Care organization, and PF from WH Care Home
They all drove the 4 hr journey to Sheffield, booked into a local hotel, and began playing!
The tournament was a great success! PF Won his first round Matches, and JT did very well. JP Won his Pool contest and they all played many ‘friendly’ games with other people between tournament matches.

They all went to see the Crucible Theatre to see where it all happens!
